The design inspiration was the power of the mind and the way thoughts could be considered human energy. The way a mind has a habit of hiding things from itself and others around it. The base is a representation of the brain and subconscious, which is a starting point of all conscious thought. Thoughts can flow from the subconscious the way water can flow in a river, so the piece has a flowing quality across the subconscious. If you look down the piece you will see an almost turbine like effect from each piece being arranged slightly off so you can see them individually. This shows that the thoughts are ebbing and flowing on the subconscious. This technique represents nature, life, energy, and movement, and in this instant is an introspective study on the way people use their mind.
