Introspective Thoughts

22 cm x 45 cm x 16 cm

Mould blown glass, cut, polished, and sandblasted.

This sculpture is a representation of the way people sometimes think about themselves and look inside themselves to evaluate their lives thus far. The base is a representation of the brain and subconscious, which is the starting point of all conscious thought. Thoughts can flow from the subconscious the way water can flow in a river, so the piece has a flowing quality across the subconscious. If you look down the sculpture you will see an almost turbine like effect as each piece is arranged slightly off so you can see them individually. This shows that the thoughts are ebbing and flowing on the subconscious. This technique represents nature, life, energy, and movement, and in this instant is an introspective study on the way people use their mind.
