Emerging Thoughts

45 cm x 20 cm x 16 cm

Mould blown glass, cut and polished, and mounted on granite.

This sculpture is a representation of the way people can think in an open, honest, and free-forming way. This expresses how ideas can be thrown out from one mind and sent out to the world. The base is a representation of the brain and subconscious, which is a base and starting point for all conscious thought. Thoughts can flow from the subconscious the way water can flow in a river, so the piece has a flowing quality across the subconscious. If you look down the sculpture you will see an almost turbine like effect as each piece is arranged slightly off so you can see them individually. This shows that the thoughts are ebbing and flowing on the subconscious. This technique represents nature, life, energy, and movement.
